A Cheap Excuse for a Post (AKA More Links)
Here are a few things around the internet:
A new philosophers’ carnival is up. Link
Also, the philosopher of religion Paul Helm has posted what I assume is his monthly contribution to the world of blogs. Link
For those who have a more theological bent and have been following the Peter Enns saga, there is another post in this regard which interacts with documents recently released by Westminster. I will quote one of the more colorful portions of the this interaction which responds to one specific committee’s report. Link
The Report makes it clear that Enns’ heterodoxy was already a settled issue for these colleagues; there is no real engagement with his book, no reflection on the theological questions, and certainly not even a glimmer of self-critical humility. Every question is settled in advance; the authors are invincibly persuaded of their own rightness.
On a lighter note, there is a post at Alexander Pruss’s blog on “Undergraduate Moral Relativism and Tolerance.” Link
This link is to an interesting post titled “Meta-Coherence vs. Humble Convictions”. Link
Also, check out FQI on “Bergmann’s Dilemma for Internalism”. Link
A post relating to the human free will and neurological correlates can be found here. Link
Very interestingly, Experimental Philosophy has posted a paper on the relationship of culpability and mental illness. Link
Finally, a friend of mine has been getting into some philosophical discussions by way of YouTube. Here is a link to his channel. Link
